CLEARKETAMINE THERAPY

Ketamine Therapy for Pinellas County Residents

Our only clinic is in Tampa. Patients come to our Tampa clinic either across Old Tampa Bay or around the top of it. Routes, county figures, and a guide for each community.

Calm Gulf water at sunrise, with a low gold sun resting on a flat horizon

Clear Ketamine Therapy's one clinic is in north Tampa, across the bay from Pinellas County. Pinellas patients reach it in one of two ways: across Old Tampa Bay on the Howard Frankland Bridge, from Largo, Pinellas Park and Seminole, or around the top of the bay through Oldsmar, from Palm Harbor, Dunedin and Safety Harbor. Consultations can be by telehealth.

Across the bay or around it

For mid and south Pinellas, the quickest routes we measured cross Old Tampa Bay on I-275 and the Howard Frankland Bridge, then head north on Dale Mabry Highway. Largo is about 27 road miles away, Pinellas Park about 24, and Seminole about 29, with a toll on the Gateway Expressway section of Seminole's route.

North Pinellas works differently. From Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Safety Harbor and Oldsmar, the fastest routes skip the bridges entirely and follow Forest Lakes Boulevard and Linebaugh Avenue around the top of the bay. Oldsmar is the shortest trip, at about 13 road miles. Tarpon Springs has its own route east through Keystone and down Gunn Highway.

Pinellas County's mental health estimates

CDC PLACES estimates that the share of Pinellas adults ever told by a health professional that they have a depressive disorder is 20.9 in every 100, against 16.7 in Hillsborough County across the bay. The county's estimate for frequent mental distress is 17.7 in every 100.

Every Pinellas community we cover sits at or above 21.0 in every 100 on the depression measure, with Palm Harbor and Dunedin highest at 22.0. Distress estimates range from 16.6 in every 100 in Safety Harbor to 19.0 in Pinellas Park. These are model-based figures for whole communities, but the pattern is consistent and striking.

Making the trip work

Expect to be at the clinic for roughly an hour and a half to two hours per session, after which a responsible adult must take you home; your own driving waits until the next day. For bridge routes, timing your appointment around the traffic your driver knows is often the biggest single help.

Only treatment needs the trip: the consultation, any planning call and the check-ins between sessions are all available over telehealth for anyone physically in Florida.

Support on the Pinellas side

Dialing 211 anywhere in Pinellas connects you with information on local health and human services. The 988 Lifeline never closes, and an emergency is always a 911 call. Our clinic keeps weekday hours and is not a crisis service.

If you already see a psychiatrist, therapist or family doctor in Pinellas, keep them involved. You do not need their referral to contact us, and with your written permission we can coordinate with them, so that ketamine treatment fits into the care you already have rather than replacing it.

How should we reach you?
Best time to reach you (optional)

In person or by telehealth

You can be seen both ways. Consultations, planning conversations, and follow-up visits happen in person at our Tampa clinic or by telehealth — whichever works better for you.

Ketamine itself is always administered in person, at the clinic, with a clinician monitoring you throughout. We do not prescribe ketamine for use at home.

Telehealth visits require you to be physically located in Florida at the time of the visit.

How telehealth works here

  • Telehealth is available to patients who are physically located in Florida, and the clinicians providing that care hold active Florida licenses.
  • Your location is confirmed at the start of every telehealth visit. If you are not in Florida, the visit does not go ahead.
  • Ketamine is never prescribed for you to take at home. It is administered only at our clinic, in person, with a clinician monitoring you throughout — a telehealth visit does not change that.
  • You are seen in person before any treatment session, because every session happens at the clinic.
  • A telehealth visit never guarantees that treatment will be offered, any more than an in-person evaluation does.
  • Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988, or call 911.
