Crossing the bay from Largo
The route we measured leaves Largo on Ulmerton Road, running east for about seven miles to I-275. From there it crosses Old Tampa Bay on the Howard Frankland Bridge and exits onto Dale Mabry Highway, which carries you north for the final eight miles or so to the clinic.
Anyone who commutes across the Howard Frankland knows how much the bridge can vary. We suggest booking sessions at times when your driver is used to crossing, and leaving a margin so you are not arriving stressed.
How Largo compares
CDC PLACES estimates that 21.7 in every 100 Largo adults have been told they have a depressive disorder, higher than the Pinellas County estimate of 20.9 and well above Hillsborough County's 16.7. The estimate for frequent mental distress in Largo is 18.9 in every 100 adults.
Pinellas communities sit noticeably higher than much of Hillsborough on this measure. Those are modeled estimates, not diagnoses, but they suggest that a lot of people in Largo are carrying depression, often for years and often after trying several treatments.
Planning a course from across the bay
Each visit lasts somewhere between 90 minutes and two hours, and someone has to drive you home. From Largo, that means a round trip across the bay for your driver as well as you, so it pays to plan the whole course rather than one visit at a time.
Ask us during the consultation how sessions are usually spaced. With that in hand, you can line up drivers in advance, keep the evenings after treatment free, and avoid driving yourself until the next day.
Starting without the drive
Your first conversation with us does not require crossing the bay. A telehealth consultation, available whenever you are physically in Florida, covers your history, current medicines, and what you hope to change, and tells you honestly whether ketamine therapy is worth pursuing.
If treatment is recommended, you receive the plan and the full cost of the course in writing before deciding. Check-ins between sessions can stay on telehealth, so Largo patients make the trip only when the medicine needs to be given.
Support on the Pinellas side
Our clinic is in Tampa and keeps weekday hours, so it helps to know what is close to home. Dialing 211 connects you with local health and human services information wherever you are in Pinellas, and the 988 Lifeline answers calls and texts at any hour. In an emergency, call 911.

A conversation, not a commitment. Please don't include medical records, diagnosis details, or anything urgent — this form is not monitored for emergencies.
In person or by telehealth
You can be seen both ways. Consultations, planning conversations, and follow-up visits happen in person at our Tampa clinic or by telehealth — whichever works better for you.
Ketamine itself is always administered in person, at the clinic, with a clinician monitoring you throughout. We do not prescribe ketamine for use at home.
Telehealth visits require you to be physically located in Florida at the time of the visit.
How telehealth works here
- Telehealth is available to patients who are physically located in Florida, and the clinicians providing that care hold active Florida licenses.
- Your location is confirmed at the start of every telehealth visit. If you are not in Florida, the visit does not go ahead.
- Ketamine is never prescribed for you to take at home. It is administered only at our clinic, in person, with a clinician monitoring you throughout — a telehealth visit does not change that.
- You are seen in person before any treatment session, because every session happens at the clinic.
- A telehealth visit never guarantees that treatment will be offered, any more than an in-person evaluation does.
- Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988, or call 911.
Common questions
About 20 miles in a straight line and roughly 27 miles by road, using Ulmerton Road, I-275 across the Howard Frankland Bridge, and Dale Mabry Highway. Our only clinic is at 3971 Moran Rd Ste 101-2, Tampa, FL 33618.
That depends on whether treatment is right for you, which is what the telehealth consultation is for. If a course is recommended, you will know how many trips are likely and what it costs before committing, so you can judge the travel against everything else.
Yes, as long as a responsible adult you know collects you when you are ready to leave and drives you home. Plan for roughly 90 minutes to two hours at the clinic, and do not drive yourself until the following day.
