From west Pasco to north Tampa
The route we measured from New Port Richey runs south on Rowan Road, then east along State Road 54 for about ten miles to the Suncoast Parkway. A short run south on the parkway brings you to Ehrlich Road and into northwest Tampa.
The Suncoast Parkway is a toll road, so your driver will need a transponder or will be billed by plate. A toll-free alternative is to stay on US 19 or Little Road and come down through Pinellas or Odessa, which generally takes longer.
The highest distress estimate on this site
CDC PLACES estimates that 22.3 in every 100 adults in New Port Richey have been told they have a depressive disorder, above the Pasco County estimate of 20.2. Its estimate for frequent mental distress, 20.3 in every 100 adults, is the highest of all the communities we cover.
In plain terms, about one adult in five in the city reports that their mental health was poor on most days of the past month. That is not a statement about any individual, but it is a strong signal that local people need more options than they have.
Crisis help in Pasco County
BayCare runs a Mobile Response Team for Pasco County, reachable at (727) 372-4357, and its website says the service is available 24/7. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline answers calls and texts at any hour, and 911 is for emergencies.
We list these because our team works weekday hours, and messages sent through this website overnight wait until morning. Ketamine therapy is a planned treatment, never an emergency one.
Planning a course of treatment from New Port Richey
Plan for roughly an hour and a half to two hours in the clinic per session, and for a responsible adult to drive you home. With the trip in each direction, that is a good part of a day for your driver as well as for you.
Typical plans involve a series of sessions over several weeks, so ask during your consultation how yours would likely be spaced. Then you can arrange drivers for the whole course and keep the evenings after treatment free, since you should not drive until the next day.
What you can do without leaving home
The consultation, planning conversations, and check-ins between sessions can be done by telehealth while you are physically in Florida. That is the place to describe what you have tried, list your medications, and hear an honest view of whether ketamine therapy is reasonable for you.
Only treatment sessions require the trip, because the injection is given in the clinic with monitoring, and no ketamine is ever sent home with a patient.
Request a consultation
A conversation, not a commitment. Please don't include medical records, diagnosis details, or anything urgent — this form is not monitored for emergencies.
In person or by telehealth
You can be seen both ways. Consultations, planning conversations, and follow-up visits happen in person at our Tampa clinic or by telehealth — whichever works better for you.
Ketamine itself is always administered in person, at the clinic, with a clinician monitoring you throughout. We do not prescribe ketamine for use at home.
Telehealth visits require you to be physically located in Florida at the time of the visit.
How telehealth works here
- Telehealth is available to patients who are physically located in Florida, and the clinicians providing that care hold active Florida licenses.
- Your location is confirmed at the start of every telehealth visit. If you are not in Florida, the visit does not go ahead.
- Ketamine is never prescribed for you to take at home. It is administered only at our clinic, in person, with a clinician monitoring you throughout — a telehealth visit does not change that.
- You are seen in person before any treatment session, because every session happens at the clinic.
- A telehealth visit never guarantees that treatment will be offered, any more than an in-person evaluation does.
- Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988, or call 911.
