CLEARKETAMINE THERAPY

Ketamine Therapy for Hillsborough County Residents

Our clinic is in north Tampa, in Hillsborough County. How patients from the rest of the county reach it, what the county's figures show, and a guide for each community.

Clear Ketamine Therapy's only clinic is at 3971 Moran Rd Ste 101-2 in north Tampa, inside Hillsborough County. For residents elsewhere in the county the trip ranges from about six road miles, from Citrus Park, to about 37, from Sun City Center. Consultations can be held by telehealth anywhere in Florida; each ketamine session takes place at the clinic.

Three directions into north Tampa

Most Hillsborough trips to our clinic follow one of three patterns. From the northwest suburbs, including Citrus Park, Westchase and Town 'n' Country, short drives on Ehrlich Road, Citrus Park Drive, Waters Avenue and Dale Mabry Highway cover six to nine miles.

From the east, Temple Terrace and Plant City residents come across on Fowler and Fletcher Avenues, with Plant City adding about ten miles of I-4. From the South Shore and southeast, including Apollo Beach, Sun City Center and FishHawk, routes run through or around downtown on I-275, and the fastest ones use the tolled Selmon Expressway or its I-4 connector.

What the county's numbers show

CDC PLACES estimates that 16.7 in every 100 adults in Hillsborough County have been told they have a depressive disorder, and that 16.8 in every 100 experience frequent mental distress, the CDC's label for adults whose mental health was not good on at least two weeks' worth of days in the past month. Both figures are age-adjusted estimates from 2023 survey data.

Hillsborough sits below its neighbors on depression: Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando all come in above 20 in every 100. Within the county, the communities we cover range from 15.8 in every 100 in Town 'n' Country to 18.3 in Plant City, and Plant City also has the highest distress estimate among them, at 19.2.

Planning around distance

Every patient needs a responsible adult to drive them home after each session and should not drive until the following day. For the nearby northwest suburbs that is a modest ask. From the South Shore or Plant City, each visit becomes a half-day commitment for both you and your driver.

The community pages below give the measured distance, the route, any tolls, and local figures for each place, so you can judge the trip before you call us.

If the distance is a concern, say so at the consultation. We would rather plan the course around a realistic travel schedule from the start than have treatment stall because the trips became too much.

Local support across the county

Hillsborough County describes the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, which runs the county's 211 contact center, as available 24 hours a day, every day. Anyone can reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by phone or text, day or night, and 911 remains the number for emergencies.

Our clinic is a weekday, appointment-based practice, open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. It is not a crisis service.

How should we reach you?
Best time to reach you (optional)

In person or by telehealth

You can be seen both ways. Consultations, planning conversations, and follow-up visits happen in person at our Tampa clinic or by telehealth — whichever works better for you.

Ketamine itself is always administered in person, at the clinic, with a clinician monitoring you throughout. We do not prescribe ketamine for use at home.

Telehealth visits require you to be physically located in Florida at the time of the visit.

How telehealth works here

  • Telehealth is available to patients who are physically located in Florida, and the clinicians providing that care hold active Florida licenses.
  • Your location is confirmed at the start of every telehealth visit. If you are not in Florida, the visit does not go ahead.
  • Ketamine is never prescribed for you to take at home. It is administered only at our clinic, in person, with a clinician monitoring you throughout — a telehealth visit does not change that.
  • You are seen in person before any treatment session, because every session happens at the clinic.
  • A telehealth visit never guarantees that treatment will be offered, any more than an in-person evaluation does.
  • Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988, or call 911.
