The route from Westchase
Most Westchase trips to the clinic head east across northwest Hillsborough on Citrus Park Drive, then along Ehrlich Road toward the clinic. On the route we measured there are no toll roads and no water crossings, and the whole trip is a little under nine miles.
Because these are suburban roads with school zones and shopping traffic, morning and afternoon trips can take noticeably longer. Booking a time that avoids your own known rush hour makes treatment days calmer for you and for whoever is driving.
Mental health in Westchase, by the numbers
CDC PLACES estimates that 16.4 in every 100 Westchase adults have ever been told they have a depressive disorder, close to the 16.7 estimated for Hillsborough County overall. The share of adults reporting frequent mental distress is 14.4 in every 100, one of the lower figures among the communities around Tampa Bay.
A lower average can make it harder for one person to say they are not okay. Depression shows up in every kind of neighborhood, including well-kept ones, and needing more help than your current treatment provides is not a personal failure.
Fitting sessions around family and work
The clinic is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Plan on being with us for roughly an hour and a half to two hours each session, then a quiet evening at home, because you cannot drive again until the next day.
Many people in Westchase juggle school runs and commutes, so it helps to map out a course of sessions in advance: who drives, who covers pickups, and which days your work can spare. We are glad to talk through the likely spacing of sessions during your consultation so you can plan.
What happens before your first visit
Your first steps can happen from home. A telehealth consultation, available while you are physically in Florida, covers your history, what you have already tried, your current medications, and whether ketamine therapy is a reasonable option to consider.
If it is, you see the recommended plan and its full cost in writing before deciding anything. If it is not, we will tell you that plainly, and, with your permission, we are happy to share our thinking with the clinicians who already care for you.
Support beyond the clinic
Between sessions, the people who already know you matter most. Hillsborough County lists the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, which operates a 211 line, as available every hour of every day, and anyone can call or text 988.
We would rather you use those lines early than wait for a scheduled check-in, and we will never mind hearing that you did.
Request a consultation
A conversation, not a commitment. Please don't include medical records, diagnosis details, or anything urgent — this form is not monitored for emergencies.
In person or by telehealth
You can be seen both ways. Consultations, planning conversations, and follow-up visits happen in person at our Tampa clinic or by telehealth — whichever works better for you.
Ketamine itself is always administered in person, at the clinic, with a clinician monitoring you throughout. We do not prescribe ketamine for use at home.
Telehealth visits require you to be physically located in Florida at the time of the visit.
How telehealth works here
- Telehealth is available to patients who are physically located in Florida, and the clinicians providing that care hold active Florida licenses.
- Your location is confirmed at the start of every telehealth visit. If you are not in Florida, the visit does not go ahead.
- Ketamine is never prescribed for you to take at home. It is administered only at our clinic, in person, with a clinician monitoring you throughout — a telehealth visit does not change that.
- You are seen in person before any treatment session, because every session happens at the clinic.
- A telehealth visit never guarantees that treatment will be offered, any more than an in-person evaluation does.
- Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988, or call 911.
Common questions
About six miles in a straight line and just under nine miles by road, using Citrus Park Drive and Ehrlich Road. There are no tolls on that route. Our only clinic is at 3971 Moran Rd Ste 101-2, Tampa, FL 33618.
No referral is required to request an evaluation. If you see a psychiatrist, therapist, or primary care physician, we encourage you to tell them, and with your written permission we can coordinate with them so treatment fits into the care you already have.
Allow roughly 90 minutes to two hours at the clinic for preparation, the treatment itself, and monitored recovery. Add your travel time both ways, and remember that someone else must take you home, and your own driving waits until the next day.
