Heading southwest from Zephyrhills
The route we measured starts on County Road 54, running west for about eleven miles in total, including a stretch on Wesley Chapel Boulevard. It then follows I-75 south and joins I-275 for the run into north Tampa, exiting at Bearss Avenue for the last couple of miles.
There are no tolls and no water crossings, and most of the distance is interstate, though weekday commuting hours on I-75 and I-275 can stretch it.
Zephyrhills health estimates
CDC PLACES estimates that 21.7 in every 100 Zephyrhills adults have been told they have a depressive disorder, compared with 20.2 for Pasco County. The estimate for frequent mental distress is 20.0 in every 100 adults, one of the highest among the communities we cover.
These are modeled, community-wide figures. They cannot describe your situation, but they do show that many people in east Pasco are living with depression, and that looking into other treatment options is common.
Pasco County crisis support
BayCare's Mobile Response Team covers Pasco County at (727) 372-4357, and BayCare states that it is available 24/7. Anyone can also call or text 988, and an emergency is always a 911 call.
Our clinic sees patients on weekdays and does not provide crisis care, so please keep those numbers somewhere easy to find.
Making each trip count
With nearly 30 miles each way, plus the time spent at the clinic itself, a visit from Zephyrhills takes up much of a morning or afternoon. Someone else has to drive you back, and you should keep off the road yourself until the next day.
Because of that, we keep everything that can be remote on telehealth. Your consultation, planning calls, and check-ins between sessions can happen from Zephyrhills while you are in Florida, so the trips are only for treatment.
What treatment involves
At each session, you receive a small injection under the skin, at a dose the supervising clinician works out for you beforehand. A clinician monitors your breathing, blood pressure, and heart rate while it takes effect, and you rest until you are ready to leave.
The ketamine we use is compounded and is not FDA-approved, and it is never prescribed for use at home. You will know the full plan and cost in writing before your first session.
Request a consultation
A conversation, not a commitment. Please don't include medical records, diagnosis details, or anything urgent — this form is not monitored for emergencies.
In person or by telehealth
You can be seen both ways. Consultations, planning conversations, and follow-up visits happen in person at our Tampa clinic or by telehealth — whichever works better for you.
Ketamine itself is always administered in person, at the clinic, with a clinician monitoring you throughout. We do not prescribe ketamine for use at home.
Telehealth visits require you to be physically located in Florida at the time of the visit.
How telehealth works here
- Telehealth is available to patients who are physically located in Florida, and the clinicians providing that care hold active Florida licenses.
- Your location is confirmed at the start of every telehealth visit. If you are not in Florida, the visit does not go ahead.
- Ketamine is never prescribed for you to take at home. It is administered only at our clinic, in person, with a clinician monitoring you throughout — a telehealth visit does not change that.
- You are seen in person before any treatment session, because every session happens at the clinic.
- A telehealth visit never guarantees that treatment will be offered, any more than an in-person evaluation does.
- Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis or having thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988, or call 911.

No. Anyone can request an evaluation without a referral. We do encourage you to tell your own doctor or therapist; if you sign a release, we can work with them so that ketamine treatment sits alongside the rest of your care.
