Information for Referring Providers

Clear Ketamine Therapy provides physician-supervised ketamine therapy for adults in the Tampa Bay area. Every patient begins with a medical evaluation — diagnosis, treatment history, current medications, and medical and psychiatric screening — before any treatment is considered. The ketamine we administer is compounded and is not FDA-approved for any use.

Ketamine therapy is not a first-line treatment, and we do not present it as one. Our role is to offer a careful evaluation and, where appropriate, a monitored course of treatment as one part of a patient's broader care.

Referrals most often make sense after standard treatments have been given an adequate trial without adequate relief — for example, depression that has not responded to multiple medications or to structured psychotherapy. A referral may also be appropriate when you want a specialist evaluation of whether ketamine therapy fits a patient's situation, or when close coordination between treating clinicians matters.

We communicate about your patient only with the patient's written permission, and we tell patients plainly that continuing their existing care is part of the plan. Ketamine therapy at our clinic does not replace your treatment relationship — patients are encouraged to keep seeing their own psychiatrist, therapist, or physician throughout.

With permission in place, our practice is to send referring clinicians an evaluation summary after the initial assessment and updates at meaningful points in treatment. Tell us at referral how you prefer to receive them and we will work to that.

Referrals are welcome from physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, and licensed therapists — call us at (813) 851-5045 to discuss a patient. Helpful information includes the working diagnosis, a summary of prior treatments and response, current medications, relevant medical history, and any concerns you want addressed in the evaluation.

One important boundary: ketamine therapy is never an emergency treatment, and our office channels are not monitored for urgent situations. If your patient is in crisis, please use emergency services or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline rather than a referral.
